MEDIA MANIA VISITS KU SCHOOL OF JOURNALISM
LAWRENCE, Kan. — Touring the School of Journalism at the University of Kansas on June 7, seven students from Barstow's Media Mania camp wanted to learn more about journalism. KU Academic Advisor Ashley Gomez led the students on the tour. She said that she has been working at the University of Kansas for about three years after completing her schooling there.
When Mrs. Gomez was a student, she helped others out and was officially hired in 2012. Ms.Vicki Reyes also assisted on the tour; this was only her second day working at the University of Kansas.
Camper Ethan said that he really enjoyed the tour. Though he said he does not want to have a career in media, his favorite part was walking around campus.
According to everyone interviewed, the tour was a great experience.
